Prop 8 Overturned [ by Michael T] [News You Can Abuse]
August 04, 2010A Federal judge in California has overturned Proposition 8, which banned all gay marriages. The crux of the matter: “Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license.” Now come the appeals which will wind up in the Supreme Court. Expect a 5 - 4 verdict. Which way it will go, who knows… But a great first start.
