A big part of this is the misconception of the TARP program and its uses, which were expanded from just rescuing banks to GM and Chrysler. Of course, fact is TARP worked and it was not the financial sinkhole critics make it out to be.

15 Years Later, McVeigh and Oklahoma City [ by Michael T] [News You Can Abuse]
April 19, 201015 years ago today, Timothy McVeigh blew up the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Strangely, in an age of ever-growing hatred from the far right, I don’t recall much being said about this heinous terrorist today. Nothing except a speech from Pres. Clinton about the dangers of hate. How is it we commemorate 9/11 as if it were the end times but don’t do the same on this date? Is it because this bomber was white and believed, wrongly, that the Feds were evil incarnate? Whatever the reason, it’s shameful and inexcusable.
