A None Too Subtle Shift
[ by Michael T] [Rantings & Ravings] October 02, 2007Readers of this website may have noticed a none too subtle shift in what we’ve written about in the past year. [ by James Linkin] [Rantings & Ravings] June 06, 2007Finally, there seems to be some broad recognition that partition in Iraq is inevitable. But General Petraeus is still pursuing counterinsurgency. How many more will die before our policy aligns with reality?

May 16, 2009Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stuck her neck out on the defining issue of our time, the US violations of the Geneva Accords that took place during the Bush Regime. Pentagon Cuts Coming Down the Pike? [ by Michael T] [News You Can Abuse]
Let’s face it - the Pentagon is a mess. Their weapons development costs are through the roof, they overpay for basic services and they can’t properly equip troops before sending them off to combat. Yet the Defense budget continually rises above inflation. Finally, it looks like some cuts are coming down the pike. Unfortunately, they are likely not going to be nearly enough.
